For the nature lover:

Bird Feeder Camera

By capturing feeding and flight action in intense detail, this unique combination camera and bird feeder gives nature enthusiasts an up-close look into the world of birds. The feeder houses a removable 1.5 MP camera module. When the device's sensor detects a visitor to the feeder, the integrated digital camera will begin quietly snapping photos at a trigger speed of 1 second without disturbing the subject. Images are stored on a micro SD card.

Discovery™ 6x21 Binocular

Lightweight and rubber coated for easy gripping, these 6x21 binoculars are a perfect beginning observation tool for young adventurers on a journey of discovery. In addition to 6x magnification and a 21mm aperture, they offer a large focus wheel, rubber eyecups and a textured gripping surface. A wrist strap and a soft case are included.

National Geographic™ 20-60x60 Spotting Scope

Weighing just over two pounds, this grab-and-go observation aid is perfect for hiking, birding, nature watching and casual stargazing. The 60mm aperture and fully coated optics work together to capture bright images even in low-light situations. The zoom eyepiece offers magnifications ranging from 20x to 60x and is angled at 45° for comfortable viewing. It comes with a tabletop tripod with a panhandle control that allows users to smoothly track objects.

For the beginning astronomer:
With a substantial aperture of 4 ½ inches, the Aurora II telescope is designed to unveil exhilarating deep-sky treasures. Offering a focal length of 500 mm and equipped with two premium Plössl eyepieces, this reflector model allows the user to experience ancient starlight in the form of galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. It comes with a sturdy mount with smooth slow-motion controls, a fully adjustable metal tripod and a red dot finder for locating coveted celestial targets.
The National Geographic™ CF700SM telescope has a 70mm aperture that will reveal lots of lunar details, planetary features like Jupiter's cloud belts or Saturn's rings and some of the brightest Messier objects. As an added bonus an included adapter helps observers use their smart device to capture and share images. The refractor comes with two interchangeable Plössl eyepieces, a 2x Barlow lens and a red dot finder.
For the adventurer:

Night Vision Scope

In low light or no light, this night vision device can give your eyes the illumination boost they need for activities like nocturnal wildlife watching, exploring, camping and more. In total darkness, you can see objects more than 20 yards away using the infrared illuminator. In low light conditions, the device's 20mm aperture will amplify residual light and allow you to observe objects more than 50 yards away. This lightweight optical aid is designed for on-the-go adventure and has a collapsible handle and carrying case. Take it outside and scan your surroundings for opossums, raccoons, owls or other nighttime visitors. Peer into caves to see what structures and species might lie within. Or, simply use it for a fun game of hide-and-seek.

Discovery™ Adventure Scope

With a simple twist or turn of its flexible coil, the Discovery™ Adventure Scope can open up new worlds to observe and investigate. The scope's long lead and bright LED lights will let you easily see into small dark spaces. Study the habits of insects, worms and other tiny creatures by peeking into holes and stumps. Dip the water-resistant scope beneath the surface of a stream or pond to see what lurks beneath. The Adventure Scope gives you the freedom to explore more!

For the junior scientist:

National Geographic™ 300x-1200x Microscope

Just like its iconic namesake, the National Geographic™ 300x-1200x microscope ignites curiosity and encourages exploration of the world around you. With this traditional microscope, users can delve into the hidden details of unusual specimens or reveal the surprising dimensions of the most common of subjects. The optics consist of a 20x eyepiece and three objective lenses that combine to offer a versatile range of magnification powers from 300x to 1200x. The set also includes a projection eyepiece that allows users to trace their images or provides the opportunity for multiple viewers to investigate the findings at the same time. Color filters are provided to enhance generated images when a specimen needs extra definition. To jumpstart investigations, the kit includes a bounty of collection tools, prepared slides, blank slides, a slide case and a shrimp breeding system. For portability, security and quick organization, the scope is housed in a hard shell case with a molded interior.

Powered via a computer's USB port and driven by your young scientist's own imagination, the Explore One™ USB Handheld Microscope can open up a treasure trove of the world's hidden details. Designed to fit a young user's hand, the microscope can be removed from its included stand and moved over an object, which can take investigations beyond the slide format. When a subject is placed under the scope, the image is displayed on the computer screen enabling multiple viewers to analyze the specimen at the same time. In addition to this versatility, this microscope offers a magnification range of 20x to 200x, 13-megapixel resolution images and LED illumination. The device comes with prepared and blank slides.
