Dear reader,

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Space.com's sister brand, All About Space magazine. We couldn't let this occasion pass by unnoticed, so you'll now see that All About Space has been treated to an overhaul, for a slicker, cleaner look.

Launched in 2012 by Editor-in-Chief Dave Harfield, before later being managed by Ben Biggs, I took the helm in 2015 and I'm delighted to still be taking care of the magazine as it reaches such an impressive milestone.

As well as a fresh new appearance, to celebrate the magazine's 10th birthday, we're offering our readers a 10% discount on all single-issue purchases and subscriptions. Simply visit magazinesdirect.com/aas/A18J and use the code: SPACE10 at the checkout.

Of course, all the mag's most popular sections are still here, including Mysteries of the Universe and Ask Space. As always, you can also find all the best skywatching advice and guidance in our regular Skygazer section, which this issue features a full guide on how best to observe the planets — you'll also find over ten pages on the best night sky sights this month, whether you have binoculars, a telescope or are just using the unaided eye.

Over the years we've discovered that you, our readers, have burning questions about the cosmos and that's why this month we've answered the most popular in our cover feature (if yours didn't make the list, let us know @spaceanswers!). We explain everything from the universe's birth to its ultimate fate – and what's going on in between.

There's plenty to keep you entertained this month – from our Mysteries of the Universe feature covering whether we're closer to cracking a complex 2,000-year-old mystery in the Antikythera mechanism, to the secrets that the Large Hadron Collider could uncover about the cosmos.
