Arizona Dark-Sky Star Party Poster

The Arizona Dark-Sky Star Party is a five-day, memory-making event that will bring an amazing group of speakers — including legendary comet discoverer David H. Levy — to the first IDA designated Dark Sky Park at Oracle State Park and to the University of Arizona's historic Biosphere 2.

A ticket secures your observing site (which allows camping) to set up your equipment and gives you access to the lectures at Biosphere 2. Thousands of dollars worth of door prizes are being supplied by Explore Scientific, and those who arrive at ADSSP at Oracle State Park with a ticket will receive gifts from the Explore Alliance.

ReflexSight

ReflexSight is a great astronomy navigation aid

This great new astronomy accessory is a zero-power finder that can be employed as the sole or primary sight of a telescope.

Key features include:

  • New "multi-dot" reticle design in standard 4.0 degree, 2.0 degree, and 0.5 degree circular patterns that prevents blocking stars in the field.

  • Fits on common "dovetail-style" viewfinder bases to allow the user to attach the device to almost any telescope without modification to the telescope itself.

  • 1/4 x 20 threaded adapter is built into the base to allow the device to attach onto a variety of devices such as piggyback camera adapters, photo tripods, etc.

  • Operates on two lightweight and commonly available AAA batteries.

  • Low power draw provides long continuous operating time.

  • Rear-facing, no-tool, three-point parallax smooth-head adjustment knobs with knurl, that can be operated with gloves on.

  • Coated lens for maximum reticle projection performance.
