Astronomers Without Borders promotes eclipse glasses recycling

If you are looking for a place to recycle eclipse glasses, the team at Explore Scientific strongly encourages you to check out Astronomers Without Borders (AWB) solar glasses recycling page on the organization's website.

Although Explore Scientific is NOT participating as a collection center this year, we want to express our admiration for this initiative, which we were proud to be a part of in 2017 as the first company to come forward following that year's epic solar eclipse. This program holds a special place in our company's history of community and environmental efforts.

Unfortunately, logistical constraints prevent us from participating in the program this year. At this time, we simply do not have the available space or volunteer groups necessary to facilitate this initiative effectively. This decision was made with considerable thought, reflecting our current operational capacities.

We have noticed that there is outdated information circulating that still lists Explore Scientific as an active participant in the program. We are actively working to correct these listings and clarify our current status. Please note that we are no longer listed as a participant on the Astronomers Without Borders website, and any older information suggesting otherwise is outdated.

For those interested in participating in the recycling efforts, we encourage you to visit the Astronomers Without Borders website at astronomerswithoutborders.org to find a local recycling center. There are several options available across the country that facilitate the recycling of eclipse glasses.
