It's a great time to visit Cygnus!

Cygnus Constellation

Check our blog to see what sights await in The Swan!

Chock-full of astronomical treasures for observers of all levels, the Cygnus constellation is currently a perfect celestial spot to do some sight-seeing in the Northern Hemisphere sky.

The quickest way to begin your exploration of Cygnus, which is also know as The Swan", is to locate its popular asterism – the Northern Cross. Of the five standout stars that form the Northern Cross, the most prominent is Deneb (Alpha Cygni), which is extremely luminous and anchors one corner of the famed Summer Triangle. Although Deneb is a stunner, there are many, many more sights to behold in Cygnus — including the Veil Nebula, the Crescent Nebula and the Fireworks Galaxy.
