All about asteroids!

Join us for tonight's Global Star Party livestream

The story of asteroids spans billions of years, and the latest line in that fascinating story is the recent successful sample return mission from the asteroid Bennu by Osiris-Rex.

The 132nd Global Star Party will tackle topics around this rocky remnants, which are found mostly in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Guest host Pranvera Hyseni, who is currently pursuing her Ph.D. while studying asteroids, will bring together a stellar lineup of presenters from various parts of the globe, many of whom are leading researchers in the field of asteroids. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of these ancient foundational elements within our solar system.

Included in our line-up of presenters is a young astronomer who studies asteroids, and has some possible discoveries, 10-year-old Nicole Semiao (also known as Nicole Oliveira) from Brazil. She will be assisted for translations by biologist Ana Catarina who is currently studying in Montreal. We want to extend a special thanks to Marcelo Souza for the arrangements.
