EXOS2-GT PMC-Eight Equatorial Mount offers precision navigation, excellent payload capacity

Our award-winning EXOS2-GT PMC-Eight Equatorial Mount combines a revolutionary GOTO system and a high-performing German equatorial mount with impressive payload capacity to create an ideal package for navigating the night sky with ease.

The PMC-Eight is a precision motion control system that transcends the industry standard single processor by utilizing eight CPUs that operate independently of one another to focus on defined functions. This delegation of tasks among the processors results in a system that offers superior responsiveness, efficiency, reliability and astoundingly fast timing intervals for smooth image acquisition and accurate tracking.

Although it is internally complex, the GOTO system can be easily operated from your own Apple, Android or Windows tablet using the ExploreStars app, which has an intuitive nature that makes it simple and quick to align your telescope, navigate the stars and learn specifics about tens of thousands of celestial objects. In addition to the app, we provide an ASCOM interface that will allow a huge range of star map software to control the PMC-Eight.

The robust EXOS2-GT equatorial mount has an instrument payload capacity of 28lbs + counterweights for astrophotography and 40 lbs + counterweights for visual astronomy. With these loads in mind, the system uses stepper motors because they can handle incredible strain and not damage mechanical nor electronic components.
